Status Quo, also colloquially known as The Quo or just Quo, are an English rock band whose music is characterized by their distinctive brand of boogie rock. They are celebrating their 50yrs maneuverer and played a great show at Amsterdam HMH.

On the same evening as Barry Hay’s Flying V Formation another great Dutch band entered the stage.
Di-rect a The Hague based band played at their hometown celebrating the venues 40th anniversary.

Festyland 2012

Finally a new update!
The last few months I’ve been so busy with my regular job and family (our second child was born a few weeks ago) there hasn’t been any time left to photograph some shows.

With Festyland 2012, the Dutch summer festival season came to an end.
Festyland has to be one of the most insane festivals in the Netherlands.
It’s well known as thé closing festival of the season, but the cold and rain never stopped 30.000 people to have a great time!

A night with John Fogerty.

Some people won’t ring a bell when you say their names, but you probably know several songs written by them. John Fogerty is one of them.

Best known for his time with Creedence Clearwater Revival. He’s responsible for songs like “Proud Mary”, “Down On The Corner”, “Suzie Q” and “Have You Ever Seen The Rain”.

Friday July 13, A night with John Fogerty at Ziggo Dome Amsterdam and I took these pictures.

Bospop 2012

The Bospop rock festival, which will be held for the 32th time on 7 and 8 July 2012, has made a name for itself thanks to its easy-going atmosphere. This festival, which was started as a small-scale festival for mainly regional amateur bands in 1980 on a DIY stage has now grown into a big musical event with bands of international fame which has won itself a permanent listing on the festival calendar.

This years headliners include Beth Hart, Tom Jones, Patti Smith, Alanis Morissette, The Cult, The Waterboys, Ed Kowalczyk and Lenny Kravitz.

Groots met een zacht G

Guus Meeuwis is a Dutch singer who mostly sings pop songs in Dutch.
In June 2012, Guus Meeuwis performed his “Groots met een zachte G”-tour in the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven for the 7th year in a row.
This year dutch rapper Gers Pardoel and Rock-icons Golden Earring entered the stage as special guests.

Golden Earring latest album “Tits ‘n Ass” entered the Dutch Album top 100 on number 1.
The same evening the band played at Egopop 2012.

Golden Earring released a new album called Tits ‘n Ass.
To celebrate the release the band played a showcase in the world famous club Paradiso Amsterdam.

Paaspop 2012

Easter is called “Pasen” in dutch, this means the festival-season opens with “Paaspop”.
A great small festival and altough the weather wasn’t that great, the shows where.
I was there all 3 days and made these pictures.
